The GunVault MVB500 is one of two handgun safes in the Gun Vault “Micro” series. The other safe in the series is the GunVault MV500STD. The MV500STD uses GunVault’s “no eyes” keypad technology. The keypad is very similar to the biometric lock, but uses a special pushbutton keypad lock.
The GunVaultMVB500 has the biometric (fingerprint) lock instead of the keypad. The look, size and design are the same for both models, the only difference is the type of lock. Both have a key override for the locks and they weigh about five pounds. Their exterior dimensions are eleven inches by eight and one half inches by two and one quarter inches.
